Goats + Yoga @ WCF Registration Open!
We’ve got most of the details nailed down for goat yoga, and registration is open! What will the class be like? Our Goats + Yoga @ WCF registration begins at 12pm. You can have about 30 minutes to get your spot and mat situated and meet the goats and chickens, and a horse or two. You will learn about the goats, Willow City Farm, and the instructor Kim. Kim will start the yoga class with some basic yoga sequences appropriate for all levels while Tara will tend to the goats and make sure they aren't being overly obtrusive. The yoga class will consist of two 25 minute sessions with a quick 10 min break in between. When the yoga portion of the class is over, you'll have another 20-30 minutes or so to have some snacks, refreshments, ask questions or meet some of the other farm animals @ Willow City Farm. More questions? Check out our FAQ and registration page!
New this week: Keta salmon are Southeast Alaska’s second most abundant salmon. Until about a decade ago, they were harvested for a single reason: their prized roe, Ikura. Since that time, fishermen have begun to target them for a growing number of fresh and frozen markets, both domestic and abroad, which find the fish’s firm, lean meat and subtle flavor delightful. Season: June-September Caught by: Fishing Vessels Mary Carl, April L, and Loon Chicken Snack Sticks We have three flavors of CHICKEN snack sticks added to our market – Jalapeno Cheddar, BBQ, and Sweet Teriyaki! Come try some samples this week! Ribeye Sale! Ribeyes are $2/off per pound this week! Our ribeyes are by far our most popular steak, and for good reason. They’re on sale this week, too!
